Kristi and I met with Kayla and her mom, Kecia , in late winter and immediately were won over by Kayla's sweet and sassy charm and Kecia's love for her girl . We both crossed our fingers under the table at Starbucks, hoping they'd pick us to photograph Kayla and Michael's wedding.
They did and, as we grew to know Kayla, the more we looked forward to their wedding day.
June 11th brought a warm day and clouds threatened on the horizon, towering over the Colorado Rockies. We met Michael and , with a healthy dose of his own charm and polite manner, he immediately made us feel at ease . It was immediately clear to us that Mike and Kayla are so well suited for each other and even "better together" .
Rain stayed away until the end of the night, a cool breeze soothed guests who sat comfortably outside the big red barn that held the reception . Dance music and laughter floated through the air , hugs were shared and tears were wiped creating the perfect wedding day for Kayla and Michael.
Thank you to each family member, friend and fellow wedding professional who helped us feel so comfortable and welcome at such a sacred event. We feel so fortunate to have been apart of this day and hope that these photos will serve as a home for all the memories made that beautiful day.
